The guild offers monthly programs featuring local and national speakers and instructors and many workshops throughout the year. We have made some tentative plans for programs and workshops later in the year and hope that you will be able to join us.
Our guild offers an annual quilt retreat for our members at a location "away from home" to sew and quilt with friends. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the fellowship is friendly.
In the event of inclement weather, CSQG will follow the same closure information of School District 11. If School District 11 is experiencing any delays or closures, we will not have a guild meeting.
Each year a challenge is presented for our guild members to produce a quilted piece to show at our annual November meeting. A theme is presented along with challenge 'rules' and guidelines. Members who take part can and do produce very different interpretations.
“Block of the Quarter” (BOQ) is a quick and easy way to learn new piecing techniques. Complete a block and bring it to the designated monthly guild meeting and your name will be entered into a raffle to win blocks made by members.
