THE COLORADO SPRINGS QUILT GUILD (CSQG) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the art of quilting by providing an opportunity for sharing ideas and learning new techniques.  Founded in 1987 by a small group of women sharing a common interest in quilting. What began as a Quilting Bee has grown into a large non profit organization of 100 plus members.  Incorporated as a 501(c)(7) in 1998, we range from true beginners, to experienced instructors, brought together by a shared love of quilting and a desire to learn.  The purpose of the guild is to expand the knowledge of quilt making; promote the appreciation of fine quilts; sponsor and support quilting activities and quilters' expertise through education, programs and workshops; and provide public service projects for the good of the community.

Membership in the guild is open to anyone who is interested in quilts or quilting.  Benefits awarded to our members include:

  • Monthly newsletters
  • Door prizes
  • Monthly raffle
  • Put N Take
  • Yearly retreat
  • Secret Pals
  • Guild challenges

Annual Dues are $25.00, with special rates for Junior quilters.

CSQG Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at the Central United Methodist Church 4373 Galley Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Doors open at 6:00 PM for meet and greet, meeting starts promptly at 6:30 PM.  The monthly meetings always include a “show and tell” where guild members show the projects they have worked on, a brief business meeting and a presentation/trunk show by local and/or well known, published quilting experts.  We also include other general activities such as a monthly raffle, door prizes, secret pals, show-n-tell, put-n-take, yearly auction, and much more.

Many of our programs feature nationally recognized quilt teachers and speakers; a $5.00 guest fee is required for all meetings.

Visitors may attend two meetings before deciding to join.

The Sunshine Committee seeks to reach out with a personal touch to acknowledge life events both happy and sad. Cards are sent on behalf of the guild on the event of a death in the family, illness, surgery or in times of stress.

If you know of a member who is ill or has had a death in their immediate family, please contact Pat Webb and a card/note will be sent from the Guild.

Colorado Quilting Council invites everyone to attend their regular meetings.  Guest fees are $10 per meeting.  Meetings start at 10AM and the speaker starts around 11:30.  Or, for only $25 annually, become a CQC member and enjoy 10 guest speakers, access to a large library, discounted class fees, retreats and more.  Anyone joining after August 1st will only pay $12.50 for dues to enjoy CQC membership for the remainder of this calendar year.
